  • Support Workers wanted to join our Team supporting customers in the Spalding, Waggrakine and Beresford areas.

    Avivo provide support to people with frailty, disability or mental illness to live in their own home.  Our Support Workers work alongside people, from all walks of life, giving them a helping hand to live their life.

    You will require the flexible availability to work a range of shifts from Monday to Sunday starting from 8am in the morning.

    You will be required to support a variety of customers including a young lady with an intellectually disability. This customer attends TAFE 3 days per week and we support her to attend TAFE. 

    The role will work across aged care, disability and mental health sectors. Engaging in a range of care needs to assist individuals to remain living within their home.

    There's no 'typical day' but it may include...

  • House cleaning for someone who can’t do this themselves
  • Helping someone have a shower and/or getting dressed
  • A trip to the local shops, doctor or community based activity
  • Operating a hoist or doing clinical care (we will train you)
  • Checking in and engaging with your team (we’ll give you a phone to do this)

  • You'll need:

  • A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
  • Availability to attend training during the week
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively and find innovative solutions

  • An hourly rate of between $22.11 and $29.12 per hour plus afternoon/evening shift loading and weekend penalties
