About the role

In this role you will be providing high quality, meaningful and timely cost information and analysis to relevant stakeholders, as well as budgeting, forecasting and deep dive analysis. You will also be assisting business leaders in creating commercial awareness and enhancing their decision-making process.

More specifically your main responsibilities will include but not limited to

  • Providing cost support to the Demerger program and strategic cost out activities
  • Providing support for budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc enquiries for applicable areas to cost centre level.
  • Supporting cost out driven analysis and other work – e.g. assisting with scenario analysis, reporting, and management of restructure changes across the business reporting tree changes and reflecting business restructures in monthly cost reports.
  • Providing support in changes to internal/ external charging models.
  • Facilitating deep dive analysis on key cost variables where required.
  • Maintaining an appropriate risk and control environment and contribute to the development of further financial controls.
  • You are an excellent communicator and relationship builder with:

  • Degree qualified - CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Minimum four years accounting experience as a business, financial or cost analyst
  • Experience in management reporting, producing reports, analyst and commentary with the ability in tailoring reports for different levels of management
  • Experience in task/project leadership
  • Experience in preparing annual budgets and negotiating with business to achieve set targets
  • To be successful in the role you have the ability to achieve results within the assigned GLT area, you also enjoy working and contributing to the wider team goals and question the current processes and propose new ideas. You are experienced in working with ledgers, possess Advanced Excel skills, and have the ability to model various scenarios. You have excellent analytical and numeric skills, good judgment and problem solving and you manage your own timeframes and priorities, meet deadlines and achieve results with exceptional quality output.
