  • What you’ll be doing…
    You will complete a over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with the Host Employer.

    Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with qualified tradesman across the Newcastle Region
  • Learn the trade skills of a roof plumber
  • Install new and replacement roofs to new and existing dwellings
  • Use equipment and power tools to safely install steel roofs
  • Attend a variety of sites to perform required duties
  • Work within a small team to carry out tasks in a safe and timely manner

    To be successful in this role, you’ll need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to both on and off the job training
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Strong work ethic
  • Developed safety focus and awareness
  • A desire to learn and adopt best practise trade skills
  • A WHS Construction Industry Induction (White Card), or willingness to obtain
  • It will also help if you have:

  • Access to reliable transport
  • Work experience in any area/s relevant to the traineeship
