The ideal candidate will understand exactly how to set up and run PMO as a Service. S/he must have built a team of good PMO consultants to work on multiple transformation initiative. S/he must fully appreciate what undergoing such a transformation journey means for both business and IT owners. S/he must have the ability to influence sceptical customer(s) through such engagements from sales through delivery of outcomes. This will require collaborating with both business and technology executives in shaping and delivering their highly visible, highly impact transformation engagements that will change their status quo in a significant way.
The ideal candidate profile would be comprised of the following attributes:
At least 15 years’ experience in delivering large and complex IT Operating Model, New Ways of Working and/or Projects to Products Transformation engagements as an Engagement Manager or Engagement Leader.
Proven track record of setting up PMO practice and team, delivering most complex and challenging agile, traditional and hybrid transformation programs.
Deeply conversant with P3MO (Portfolio/Program/Project) Management methodologies
Ability to set up and run large PMO/Transformation Office, Ability to leverage resources across multiple programs.
Preferred candidate would carry industry accreditation's like PMI-PMP, PgMP, Agile – Scrum / SAFe.
Experience working with any of the industry leading PPM / Agile Lifecycle Management Tool (e.g. Clarity, Planview, Primavera, ServiceNow, Jira, Azure Board, GitLab etc.)
Experience to advise and manage IT Investment-Portfolio planning, prioritisation, business case / benefit profile validation (or formulation) and strategy implementation in a challenging environment.
Proven track record of successfully managing team of PMO Analysts in delivering such engagements and also as a line manager, improved delivery performance, with material improvement of costs and benefits.
Proven track record of sensing and responding to new opportunities while delivering work at clients and ensuring it is brought to the attention of Account and Consulting Practice management team.
Proven track record of managing multitude of client stakeholders at the C-suite level, their direct reports and anyone of significant importance in your area of work.
Take the overall accountability and responsibility of successfully setting up and running PMO/Transformation Office for IT Operating Model or New Ways of Working Transformation Consulting engagements based on the established scope of work as per the signed contract
Build a trusted partner status with the client C-suite stakeholders based on excellent delivery record of the Application Management Services and related Transformation
Manage global onshore/offshore PMO teams and the work they are delivering
Attract, hire, retain, inspire and manage the new age talent required for the successful AMS delivery for your assigned client(s). Mentor and guide the team members where required
Ensure team and self-utilisation at all times based on the quarterly goals and objectives established by your practice.
As a senior level consulting specialist, besides delivering your assigned client engagement(s), you will also be required to support ongoing pursuits to win new business at existing or new clients. Such requirements will be discussed with you from time to time for support.
Own and achieve the assigned revenue, client satisfaction and team utilisation targets
Motivate your team members and also yourself to write about the delivery successes as white papers and thought leadership articles that are published in reputed forums in the industry. Also, find opportunities to present jointly at industry forums. Co-authoring and co-presenting with clients is highly encouraged and will be a plus.
Refer and identify suitable talent for the consulting practice and support their hiring from time to time
