Programmed are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join an existing team in a production environment located in Canberra. This position is a stable position and is available to be started immediately.
The primary responsibility for this position is to work collaboratively with the rest of the maintenance team under the supervision of the Senior Maintenance Technician to assist in the delivery of:
Completing maintenance works on time, to a high standard and in line with maintenance policy, procedures and quality standards.
Be responsible for conducting works in accordance with SWMS, SOPs, and WHS processes and practices including the use of appropriate PPE and utilising risk assessment procedures.
Complete timely investigation of equipment breakdowns to identify cause of failure and minimise down time.
Have a good working knowledge of equipment criticality and CLS key customers and their associated requirements.
Conduct start up checks including boiler checks in accordance with policies.
Carry out diagnosis and ensure replacement of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and machines which are faulty
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of, and provide recommendations to the Senior Maintenance Technician for, Capital replacements plans, preventative maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and improved work practices, safety measures and training.

Able to work at heights
Able to operate lifting equipment
Manual handling capacity
Work rights in Australia
Drivers Licence (C-class)
Relevant trade qualifications and experience as a Mechanic or Mechanic/Maintenance Fitter
Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical
Must be willing to undergo a police check
