You will be working with driven professionals across multi-discipline groups to deliver a wide variety of contaminated land projects in Perth and across wider Western Australia.**Key duties and responsibilities will include**+ Undertake routine field and laboratory tests on soil, aggregate, rock and other materials , in line with the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) standards.+ Conduct testing of soil grading, Atterberg limits, compaction, CBR and routine field testing.+ Assist with the maintenance, calibration and set up of equipment for use in testing in line with NATA standards.+ Provide support with shipping, receiving, logging, handling, storage and disposal of samples.+ Undertake classification and testing of samples for analysis with senior review.+ Undertake basic calculations and data entry for reporting in line with NATA standards.+ Liaise with internal and external clients, with a focus on delivering against project deadlines.**Skills, Qualifications, and Experience**+ Some experience in laboratory testing of soil and rock to NATA standards is an advantage although full training will be provided.+ Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.+ Excellent attention to detail with strong literacy and numeracy skills (written and verbal)+ Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent preferred, but not essential.+ Construction Induction Card (White Card).+ Manual drivers licence.+ Understand and follow Golder health, safety and environment policies and procedures.+ Display a safety first attitude and always be conscious of health and safety.+ Identify and report hazards, near misses and incidents in the HSE Learnings Database.+ Actively raise HSE issues with peers, contractors and visitors and assist in seeking resolution for identified issues.+ Actively eliminate and control hazards related to routine and non-routine tasks on a daily basis using the hazard control hierarchy.**Your benefits at Golder will include**+ Deepen your expertise in a dynamic work environment+ Great company environment & culture+ Innovative and collaborative multidisciplinary projects+ Competitive benefits and remuneration packages+ On the job training, mentoring and coachingRenowned for technical excellence, Golder, a member of WSP, is a leading global specialised engineering and consulting organisation with over 60 years of successful service to its clients.
