Your new role

This position will see you driving technical change across the Centralised Processing (CP) Program. The position is twofold, as a key member of the CTO team you will be involved in bringing technical individuals from various backgrounds together, to deliver tangible outcomes and solutions to our clients. The further focus is to triage CTO team CP Program priorities in concert with the key stakeholders and our customer.  You will also be the lynch pin, establishing the relevance and applicability of key capabilities and initiatives to our Defence client.

About you and what you’ll bring

You will be a roving ambassador to all things technology and platform within the CP Program, this includes driving change and providing consulting support throughout the implementation of outcomes for Leidos and for our customer. You’re also a change advocate who knows how to test the status quo yet providing purposeful and timely advice. Building relationships and enhancing client experience alongside your CP CTO team and customer stakeholders comes second nature to you.

You can walk into a meeting without a 20 page PowerPoint, are able to engage and instil confidence by “having a conversation” and actually understanding internal and external clients’ needs. As a natural consultant you will enhance our current capability and be the conduit to supporting the completion of technical outcome, as and where appropriate- helping drive the technical component of overall outcomes.

You will also have:

To be successful you’ll need proven experience in delivering results in an agile manner and you’re likely known to achieve tangible results in a high tempo environment.  You’ll think big picture as well as get down into the detail when and if required.

The following technical experience would be highly desirable: 

  • Public, private and hybrid cloud computing
  • ITSM and ITIL
  • Project and program management
  • Architecture and engineering
  • Site reliability engineering
  • Automation, the journey to software defined everything and SecDevOps
  • Service mapping

From a qualifications perspective you will have some or all of the below:

  • A computer science or engineering degree
  • ITIL
  • Cloud certifications from AWS and/or Microsoft
  • Agile (desirable)
  • Design thinking (desirable)
  • TOGAF (desirable)


Additional Information

This role does requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold at a minimum a Baseline Security Clearance.
