The Inclusion & Diversity Leader (APAC ) is a critical role to execute on our Global I&D strategy. The successful candidate will provide expertise and consultation to the CEOs and Local I&D committees and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to achieve greater inclusion and belonging for all through the retention, engagement, development and promotion of our talent. This person will be the conduit between local and global strategy and will report to the Global I&D Leader (based in Canada).
Be a role model and ambassador for inclusive leadership and the I&D strategy
Serve as a subject matter authority and key resource for advice, consultation and execution of initiatives related to diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, and equity.
Be a central point of contact for key internal stakeholders regarding I&D across APAC
Ensure I&D data is available, accurate, understood and used to improve all aspects of the talent lifecycle.
Coordinate and support Global I&D Council reps in any local efforts required
Development of the annual budget for related programs and initiatives
Serve as diversity liaison for compliance related projects and reports
Represent GHD as the subject matter expert on I&D
Identify and team with relevant partners on external strategic sponsorships/partnerships and thought leadership opportunities.
Proven expertise in leading successful diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in a fast-paced matrixed global organisation backed by a relevant bachelor’s degree.
A consultative and data driven approach with the ability to balance regional and global needs and collaborate with a diverse set of partners
Ability to prepare and facilitate senior level discussions related to highly sensitive topics
Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to influence and display emotional intelligence.
A passion for and experience in improving strategic goals related to inclusion and diversity (eg. recruitment, performance, engagement, retention, development).
The ability to deal with crisis management and supporting incidents related to I&D.
Able to work flexible hours and virtually, given the geographic scope of role.
Confident public speaking/facilitation experience and a strong local network in the area of DE&I highly desirable.
Location is flexible – can be in any Australian or New Zealand GHD office with flexible working arrangements available.
