ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and self-motivated leader as General Manager Maintenance. This role will be responsible for the company’s rollingstock, including maintenance, utilisation in service and external contractors. This role will lead and manage the train Technician's maintenance work performed on-board. This role is pivotal to ensure our operational needs are not only met but maintained to the highest standard for our guest experience and safety.
We are seeking to appoint a candidate who will drive a preventative maintenance culture with a focus on root cause analysis ensuring maintenance activity focuses on prevention wherever possible.
REQUIREMENTS / ABOUT YOU
You will have demonstrated experience in building models to support businesses in maintenance planning and cost control to deliver on its operational and preventative maintenance targets.
As an accomplished leader you will have previous experience in coordinating external contractors, maintenance scheduling preferably within the rail industry, to ensure day to day operations run smoothly and the team is fully supported.
We need a resilient all-rounder that has solid planning and financial acumen, with the ability to leverage strong Microsoft Excel skills to solve complex problems.
The successful candidate will be versatile, energetic and possess demonstrated excellence in leadership and people management.
