About this Opportunity

The Assistant, Employee Services is responsible for the efficient and effective payroll administration and entry of employment-related data into the University’s HRIS, plus supporting the delivery of high quality day to day operational HR and Payroll activities. This includes the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of HR and Payroll transactions and data related to recruitment, secondment, transfers, appointments, immigration, leave, academic study programs, scholarships, payroll and remuneration administration.

This position is substantively based at our St Lucia campus, but currently works from our Toowong office, located 2km from the St Lucia campus.

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you should have previous experience in a payroll, employee services, HR administration or finance role, plus a relevant qualification (or equivalent experience and/or training and/or education).

Attention to detail, time management and exceptional client service skills are essential, as is your knowledge and experience in using large HRIS enterprise systems for means of payroll administration. You must also have a passion for working with people and be able to quickly and effectively form strong working relationships with a team of payroll and HR specialists.

You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What We Can Offer

There are a number of opportunities available for full-time, fixed term up to 31 December 2021 at HEW level 4.

The base salary will be in the range $65,424 - $69,453, plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
