About the Role Work on-site with one of Australia's leading energy operators 9 Day fortnight – Day Work Position Major Generation facility located 90 minutes outside of the Melbourne CBD ​ Reporting to the Mine Electrical Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor as responsible for providing leadership and coordination of the Mine Shift and Day Work Electrical teams to ensure the completion of planned, breakdown & scheduled work with a focus on ensuring work output is maximised. As the coordinator of AGL’s Loy Yang Mine electrical works, a key focus of this role will be to allocate planned electrical works along with allocating and prioritising resources for all breakdown and unplanned works associated with the electrical team. What you’ll be doing: Managing the day-to-day electrical breakdown, coordination, planning & regulatory compliance Planning and scheduling routine repairs, maintenance, construction & extensions of the electrical systems, such as the HV distribution system Monitoring the completion of electrical maintenance to ensure routine maintenance work is being completed Auditing electrical processes and systems such as the permit system, vicinity access procedures and electrical compliance Authorising personnel for operation of electrical apparatus Ensure major plant operations and changes (i.e. Track shifts, cable relocation) are planned and electrical resources are available to perform the work About You What you’ll bring to the table: An Electrical Trade qualification with an “A” Class Electrical Wiring Licence in the state of Victoria Experience in the electrical operation and maintenance of heavy industrial plant, particularly mining equipment such as bucketwheel excavators, stackers and conveyors Experience in the electrical operation and maintenance of High Voltage equipment and distribution system equipment G & V Class electrical inspector licenses High Voltage Electrical operator authorisation Experience in leading teams of electricians in complex operating environments We’d love to see your application, submitted online by midnight: Thursday 22nd July 2021.
