    THE POSITION:
    We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager Design Assistant to join our growing fashion and lifestyle team. The role is within the underwear team that focuses on our Lonsdale clothing! The key tasks will include...
  • Supporting the Category Manager in design and development of garments from sample stage to bulk production including research, CAD sketches and development of samples;
  • Develop yardage and placement prints for off shore manufacturing;
  • Creation and maintenance of all art packs;
  • Approve strike offs, lab dips and fabric qualities;
  • Manage design, development and approval of packaging, labelling and trims;
  • Assisting with fit sessions to ensure quality and finish is of the highest standard and all aesthetic and technical elements are adhered to;
  • Adhere to department Critical Path and maintain/update Critical Path within our internal system;
  • Liaison with overseas manufacturers on sample requests, approvals and critical path.
  • ABOUT YOU:
    You are a team player with strong ability to work collaboratively within our fast paced environment. You also have a passion for intimates design !

    In addition you have
  • A Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or related discipline;
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • Knowledge of and experience with garment construction
  • Experience in graphic art, print development and creation
  • Knowledge of intimate apparel will be highly regarded
  • Textile/garment construction/pattern making knowledge;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, flexible in approach and supportive of others.
