    Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Service Delivery & Engagement Manager, you will have a fantastic opportunity to work closely within RAA’s Information Services space, and across the business to ensure substantive and effective engagement between the business and the technology that underpins our services.

    Ideally, with a strong understanding of the business processes and information needs of your stakeholders, you will work closely with business users to manage requests and recommend appropriate solutions aligned with RAA’s technology and future ICT strategic roadmap.

    Specifically, you will hold responsibility in:

  • Capturing business requirements and conduct analysis of AS-IS and TO-BE system requirements;
  • Create detailed business requirements documentation, process maps, forms, templates and other documentation as required;
  • Manage the fulfilment of business requests which cross over multiple IT delivery teams;
  • Investigating and undertaking preliminary research of requests for change to understand and document their scope sufficient for high level estimation, planning and cost/value analysis;
  • In consultation with Project Managers, provide direction for the delivery of IS related initiatives, including documentation, resource planning and stakeholder management;
  • Working with allocated departments to identify business processes requiring improvement and developing business improvement strategies; and
  • Partnering with key stakeholders and business units to understand their requirements and research available new of existing solutions to solve day to day problems.
  • What sets you apart from the rest:

    At RAA we hire on cultural fit first and technical fit second! However, to be successful you will need to have:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Computing Science or related discipline is desirable;
  • Sound experience as a Business Analyst and an understanding of partnering with the business;
  • Experience in requirements elicitation and translation of requirements into specification documents that are understandable by the business and IT;
  • Proven experience in managing a range of stakeholders to create consensus in achieving outcomes and build strong working relationships;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis values, practices, processes and information modelling;
  • Self-driven and able to work under broad direction on complex tasks, in a positive and respectful team environment; and
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Your excellent communication and organisation skills together with your high level of analytical and attention to detail will see you succeed in this role, as will your ability to think outside ‘the box’ and find the right solutions will add further to your success. Whilst this role ideally requires sound BA experience, a desire to get into a BA role or build on your current skills and experience is also sufficient and we encourage you to still apply, as training and mentoring will be provided.
